Lent_2.jpg

Lent is the season leading up to Easter, during which Christians symbolically follow Christ into the wilderness, fasting from lesser things so we might be filled with the greater things of the gospel.

Lent is about the gospel. It is a time to narrow the focus of the Church to the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, to turn from our sin and trust in His atoning work. The season of Lent lasts approximately 40 days, excluding Sundays, between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday.

Christians commemorate the life and death of Jesus Christ during Holy Week, which includes Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. These days hold significance as they represent Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the Last Supper, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Holy Week provides an opportunity for Christians to reflect on Jesus' teachings and renew their faith and commitment to God.

Good_Friday.jpg

When it comes to Easter, many Christians consider Good Friday one of the most important days of the year. Good Friday is the day that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is a time to reflect on His sacrifice for our sins.

You don't want to miss this year's powerful service as we connect with the deeper meaning of Easter. We believe it will help you understand the suffering and sacrifice that Jesus went through for us and appreciate the joy and hope that come with His Resurrection.

Of course, the Good Friday service is only one part of the Easter story. We also encourage you to attend our Sunday morning services, which celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the victory over death. By experiencing both services, we gain a fuller understanding of the richness and depth of what Easter truly means.

This Holy Week, you can take part in a special 48-hour Prayer Vigil. It will begin on Good Friday (4/7) at noon and end on Easter (4/9) at noon, just as our final Easter service is ending!
